Manufacturing Engineer

Job description :

Manufacturing Engineer to be responsible for leading and executing plant-wide initiatives focused on operational excellence and waste elimination. This role champions lean manufacturing principles and works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost.

Key Responsibilities

Own and lead continuous improvement (CI) initiatives across the manufacturing plant.

Plan, facilitate, and follow up on Kaizen events, root cause analysis, and process redesign.

Identify and eliminate waste through lean tools and methods such as 5S, visual management, and Poka-Yoke methodology.

Collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and maintenance teams to drive improvements in key performance indicators (KPIs).

Support process standardization, layout optimization, and workflow efficiency.

Specify and support tooling, fixtures, and equipment used in manufacturing operations.

Provide hands-on support on the production floor to troubleshoot and resolve process or assembly issues.

Qualifications :

Experience & Education

BS or AS in Manufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in manufacturing or process improvement role.

Proven experience leading CI or Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

Technical Proficiency

Strong knowledge of lean principles (e.g., Kaizen, standard work, 5S, root cause analysis).

Knowledge of sheet metal and / or circuit board assembly preferred.

Familiarity with weld, paint, and assembly operations is highly preferred.

Proficiency with data analysis, time studies, and process mapping.

CAD knowledge is preferred.
