  • Job Summary

    • The

  • Senior Estimator
  • will be responsible for developing accurate, timely, and detailed cost estimates for large, complex projects. This role requires extensive knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, and cost principles. The ideal candidate will be a
  • self-starter
  • who can manage deadlines, mentor junior staff, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial, civil, and specialty projects
  • Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to determine scope and pricing strategies
  • Lead quantity takeoffs, subcontractor solicitation, bid comparisons, and cost analyses
  • Develop project schedules and ensure estimates are aligned with construction timelines
  • Collaborate with operations and preconstruction teams to identify risks, opportunities, and value-engineering solutions
  • Mentor and support junior estimators to build department knowledge and capacity
  • Work collaboratively with subcontractors, design partners and clients
  • Present estimates and recommendations to leadership and clients
  • Skills & Qualifications
  • Education :
  • Bachelor’s degree in
  • Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • (or equivalent technical training / experience)
  • Experience :
  • Minimum
  • 5 years estimating experience
  • in commercial construction required;
  • 10+ years preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with :
  • MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • HCSS Heavy Bid (preferred)
  • Online plan rooms, SmartBid, and takeoff software (On-Center, Agtek, etc.)
  • Primavera and AutoCAD familiarity a plus
  • Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills with sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for team and client interactions
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under strict deadlines
  • Leadership qualities with experience in
  • mentoring and team development
