Van Driver Non-CDL

Job Summary :
The Van Driver reports to the Director of Consumer Directed Services (CDS) and is responsible for safely transporting persons with disabilities to and from the administrative office. This position also operates cargo vans and small trucks for transporting materials or equipment as needed, while maintaining a high level of professionalism, courtesy, and safety.
Responsibilities :
- Safely operate cargo vans and small trucks (non-CDL) to transport consumers, materials, and equipment.
- Provide reliable transportation for persons with disabilities, ensuring comfort, safety, and respectful assistance.
- Follow assigned routes, schedules, and instructions from the Directors of CDS and ADS.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Assist passengers entering and exiting the vehicle as needed.
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly fueled vehicles.
- Complete accurate logs, mileage reports, and incident documentation.
- Communicate professionally with consumers, staff, and the public.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety practices, and traffic regulations.
Qualifications :
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.12 years of experience driving cargo vans and small trucks.Experience working with or assisting persons with disabilities preferred.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist passengers safely.Strong communication, reliability, and customer service skills.Must successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings, including background check, driving record review, and drug / alcohol testing.
