POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
The Buyer II is a mid-level purchasing professional responsible for independently managing the procurement of materials for assigned categories or projects. This role requires strong commercial judgment, the ability to interpret technical and operational requirements, and the capability to work with minimal supervision. The Buyer II ensures timely, cost-effective, and compliant purchasing activities while supporting operational continuity and supplier performance.
The Buyer II serves as a key liaison between suppliers, project teams, operations, and warehouse personnel. The role contributes to cost savings, process improvements, and supplier relationship management by analyzing quotes, monitoring inventory needs, and resolving moderately complex procurement issues. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate ERP documentation, maintaining material availability, supporting the overall effectiveness of the purchasing function, and process optimization across Moss’ electrical procurement function.
