Job Title : Machine Operator Job Description

In this role, you will play a crucial part in the manufacturing of cultivated meat products. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, cleaning, and maintaining equipment that measures, mixes, blends, and forms ingredients. Additionally, you will operate food packaging and laboratory equipment, preparing finished products for shipment. Your role will also involve monitoring critical control points and accurately completing production documentation.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, clean, and tend to equipment for manufacturing cultivated meat products.
• Operate and maintain food packaging and laboratory equipment.
• Prepare finished products for shipment.
• Monitor weights, temperatures, and critical control points.
• Accurately complete Batch Records and other production-related documentation.
• Perform aseptic cell culture techniques, including thawing, passaging, feeding, and harvesting.
• Prepare reagents, buffers, and fresh media.
• Use Electronic Laboratory Notebook (LIMS / ERP Systems) for tracking ingredients and reporting batch records.
• Adhere to all company Food Safety and Personal Safety guidelines (GMPs, .

Work Environment

This role is based onsite with working hours from 8am to 5pm. You will report to the Food Manufacturing Manager and work under the direction of the Food Production Lead. The work environment is temperature-controlled (38-45 degrees F) and you will be provided with appropriate PPE.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Berkeley, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00 / hr.
