Electrical Technician - Express Pros-Akron
Location : Akron, OH
Schedule : Monday-Friday, 1st Shift (Overtime as needed)
About the Role
Express Pros-Akron is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, machinery, and equipment according to established standards. This role provides exposure to both standard and custom machinery and plays a vital part in ensuring proper electrical configuration and safe operation.
Key Responsibilities
Under the direction of the area manager, you will :
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical / electronic wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand and power tools
- Connect power supply wires to machines / equipment and run cables and inter-machine wiring
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment, identifying root causes and performing necessary repairs
- Replace faulty electrical components, including relays, switches, motors, and sensing devices
- Inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify hazards, defects, or required adjustments
- Replace electric motor bearings and rewire motors as needed
- Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using ohmmeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and similar devices
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and return tools at the end of each shift
- Assist other departments when needed
