Educational Interpreter - Indianapolis, IN

An opportunity is available for a skilled American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to support a young student in an early elementary setting. This full-time, 1:1 contract position is located in Indianapolis, IN, providing essential communication access throughout the school day.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality ASL interpretation services tailored to an early elementary student's needs.
• Facilitate clear, effective communication between the student and their educational environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support the student's learning and inclusion.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines within the school setting.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in an educational setting.
• Proficient in American Sign Language and familiar with teaching methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work full time, 7 hours per day, during the school week.
