- Lead the preparation and review of corporate, trust, and individual tax returns
- Manage tax department workflow, deadlines, and staff assignments for in-office and remote team members
- Supervise quarterly filings, year-end planning, and compliance cycles for various client entities
- Mentor, train, and oversee tax staff while promoting a culture of quality and responsibility
- Drive technological enhancements and process upgrades in the tax department
- Collaborate with firm leadership on strategic growth ventures and service offerings
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Maintain high standards of responsiveness and client service for business and high-net-worth clients
Qualifications
- Active CPA license
- 5+ years of public accounting experience with significant corporate and trust/individual tax exposure
- Demonstrated proficiency in reviewing complex returns and managing engagements
- Comfortable in leading a tax team and enhancing processes and systems
- Proficient in common tax and accounting platforms (e.g., UltraTax, QuickBooks or similar)
- Based in or open to relocating to the Indianapolis metro area
