Wireless Engineer

Piper Companies is hiring a Wireless Engineer for a leading IT Services firm supporting enterprise clients in New York and New Jersey. The Wireless Engineer will architect and support advanced network solutions focused on Cisco Routing and Switching, MPLS, and SD-WAN technologies. This role is a long term consulting opportunity and requires travel up to % throughout the east coast.

Responsibilities for the Wireless Engineer :

• Design and support Cisco routing / switching platforms and datacenter networks
• Implement MPLS solutions including L2 / L3 VPN, VRF Lite, and MPLS-TE
• Configure dynamic routing protocols : BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS, inter-AS
• Optimize LAN switching with RPVST+, MST, and VLAN management
• Support multicast, route redistribution, and QoS policies
• Manage DMVPN, GETVPN, NetFlow, PfR, and IP SLAs for secure traffic flow
• Deploy IPv6 across enterprise environments
• Contribute to SD-WAN and DNAC / SDA rollouts and automation
