Position : SAP IS-U CR&B Lead Location : Sacramento, CA (Onsite once in a week) Duration : Contract Client : SMUD Job Description : SMUD is seeking a leased employee resource to provide operational and project support for the Customer and AMI Technologies team on a time and materials basis. Purpose : To support the Customer and AMI Technologies team by handling enhancement, project, and incident response tasks during 2026. This lets our team focus fully on the S / 4HANA project without delays or distractions. Key Responsibilities : Provideday-to-day support for ServiceNow incidents related to Customer and AMI Technologies. Workon enhancement requests and project tasks aligned with your skills in Customer and AMI Technologies. Respondpromptly to incidents so they don’t impact the S / 4HANA project’s progress. Collaboratewith team members to ensure smooth handoff and clear communication. Helpour team maintain greater availability and focus on the S / 4HANA project. Expected Outcomes : Timelyresolution of assigned incidents and enhancement requests. Continuedprogress on ongoing projects within Customer and AMI Technologies. Reducedworkload pressure on the core Customer and AMI Technologies team during the S / 4HANA project timeline Mandatory Requirements Musthave five (5) years of experience designing and configuring complex SAP solutions within the last ten years. Musthave at least three (3) years of SAP ECC 6.0 experience with EHP7 or higher Musthave at least one year (1) of SAP CRM 7.0 experience with EHP3 or higher Musthave IS-U CR&B expertise, including experience in one, or more, of the following areas : - Customer service - Device management, including experience with smart meters and / or the Itron Networks UIQ stack - Rates and pricing - Billing and invoicing - Bill print - Workflows - Fl-CA Musthave experience working with master data components and the business partner lifecycle Must have at least two (2) years of experience performing hands-on end-to-end functional,technical, and regression testing of complex solutions, including integrations to external systems Musthave experience using defect tracking applications like ServiceNow or JIRA Musthave experience in participating in business requirement reviews and blueprint sessions Musthave experience translating business requirements into detailed specifications Musthave experience working with technical teams (ABAP developers) to define / refine functional specifications for custom developments Musthave experience creating process flow diagrams based on business requirements Musthave experience debugging custom code and working independently to support a project team Musthave experience communicating highly technical information in an understandable manner to project team both verbally and in writing. Desirable Qualifications BSdegree from an accredited college or university majoring in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field. Stronganalysis knowledge and skills Experiencein leading business requirement reviews and blueprint sessions Experienceworking in an agile environment. Experiencedesigning and configuring complex IS-U rates, rate categories, and billing schemas Electricutility experience supporting any of the following systems : SAP S / 4HANA; SAP CX (Customer Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud) OpenTextDocument Presentment; Itron Meter Data Management System (MDMS) IEE 10.3 or higher MDUS / ISAIMEhP7 or higher. Assumptions Contractorsmust have excellent written and communication skills. Contractorsmust have reliable internet, work exclusively within the United States. Contractorswork schedule will be between 7 am and 5 pm Pacific Time, Monday through Friday and fully established with the supervisor. Contractorsmust have their own laptop to complete tasks including on-site days. Thisis a hybrid task, contractors will be required to be on-site each Tuesday of every week (once a week).
