Unit Overview :
Join our dynamic 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit, where you will provide care for a diverse and complex patient population, including :
Post-operative craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resectionsCervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeriesPatients suffering from hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes as part of our Comprehensive Stroke ProgramThe Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) allows for exposure to cutting-edge neurosurgical techniques.

Conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate their effectiveness.Recognize significant changes in patient conditions and take appropriate actions.Implement patient safety strategies and assist with educational needs.Facilitate discharge planning using an interdisciplinary approach.Participate in quality improvement initiatives.Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration within the healthcare team.Maintain professional development and share knowledge with colleagues.Licensure and Education :
Must possess a Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.Completion of an accredited nursing program is necessary.Experience Required : Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Ability to provide holistic patient care and recognize changes in patient status.Proficient in electronic record systems and possess excellent communication skills.Strong organization and time management skills.Capability to work independently and collaboratively with others.Physical Requirements :
