Hiring Range : $180,000 - $220,000

UMass Memorial Children s Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Academic Newborn Hospitalist to join our team of healthcare professionals and contribute to our overall mission of serving the needs of the diverse families in Central Massachusetts. Job duties include :

Clinical Care

• Providing comprehensive medical care for infants in our :
• 22-bed Continuing Care Nursery (CCN), embedded within our 49-bed Level 3 NICU at the UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, MA
• 28-bed postpartum unit and 12-bed Level 2 Special Care Nursery at Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham, MA.
• Attending high risk deliveries with a multi-disciplinary team, including Neonatology back-up.
• Performing procedures such as intubation, central line placement, lumbar puncture and thoracentesis.
• Performing inpatient antenatal consultations regarding issues of prematurity, neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome and common chronic maternal medical conditions.
