Spartan Shield Solutions is a rapidly growing veteran-owned Fractional CFO and Outsourced Accounting firm based in Arlington, VA. We serve organizations across all industries, with a focus on government contractors . Spartan Shield works closely with its clients to improve operations, productivity and organization while meeting compliance requirements. We do this through increasing access to up-to-date financial information, reducing inefficiencies and freeing senior management to focus more on revenue generating activities.

Spartan Shield is seeking a knowledgeable, driven individual to help the continued success of the company and the clients we support in a Staff Accountant capacity. The Staff Accountant will work closely with the CFO and Controller to deliver superb accounting services. Successful candidates would have government contracting and at least one of the following software systems : Deltek Costpoint and / or Unanet . QUALIFICATIONS

• A bachelor's degree in accounting required
• 3+ years of accounting experience required
• 2+ years of Government Contractor experience preferred
• Must have experience with one of the following systems : Deltek Costpoin t and / or Unanet.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following additional software systems is a plus : QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or Jamis.
• Familiarity with GAAP required, experience with cost accounting preferred
• Familiarity with FAR a plus
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in other standard office applications
• Strong problem solving and reasoning
• Able to prioritize and meet multiple competing deadlines
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and not require sponsorship now or in the future
