AVID Tutor

Lawrence North High School is seeking an AVID tutor. AVID tutors will be trained to use specific teaching methods and materials to work with AVID students on a daily basis. Tutors will work with AVID students in study group and individually; assisting them in all academic areas including college expectations. Tutors must be willing to meet regularly with the AVID teachers to discuss student progress and future tutorial plans.

Required: Proof of one of the following:

• 60 completed college credit hours, official or unofficial transcripts are accepted
• Minimum score of 460 or greater on ParaPro PRAXIS score

If candidate has neither the qualification, nor the proof, they can take the ParaPro PRAXIS exam for a fee. Contact sarahstephenson@msdlt.k12.in.us for more information.
