A company is looking for a Remote Full Time Facility Pediatric Same Day Surgery Medical Coder.

Key Responsibilities

Provide coding and abstracting services for outpatient pediatric surgery records using ICD-10-CM, CPS, and CPT coding systems

Review medical records to assign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes and ensure accurate DRG assignment

Participate in team meetings, training, and industry forums to support coding education and maintain coding credentials

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

Minimum of 3 years of related medical coding experience, specifically in pediatric facility outpatient surgery

Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPS, and CPT coding principles and guidelines

Certification as either CCS or CPC is required

Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and surgical technology

Proficiency in using coding software and applications
