Outstanding long-term contract opportunity! A well-known Financial Services Company is looking for a Network Security & Configuration Compliance Engineer in Irving TX (preferred), Chandler AZ, Charlotte NC or Iselin NJ (Hybrid).
We are seeking a Network Security & Configuration Compliance Engineer to review, validate, and map network device configurations against governance, security, vulnerability, and patching standards. This role focuses on ensuring network devices comply with internal policies and industry best practices by translating policy requirements into device-level configurations and command-line controls.

Required Skills & Experience - Strong hands-on experience with network device configuration and security compliance
- Deep knowledge of Cisco and Arista platforms and configuration standards
- Ability to translate security policy and governance requirements into technical controls
- Experience reviewing configurations for vulnerabilities, patch levels, and security baselines
- Solid understanding of network security principles, routing, switching, and device hardening
- Comfortable working in large enterprise or regulated environments (financial services a plus)
Preferred Skills & Experience - CCNA, CCNP, and/or CISSP certification(s)
- Experience in financial services or highly regulated environments
- Familiarity with configuration compliance tools and scanning frameworks
What You Will Be Doing - Review and assess network device configurations to ensure compliance with security, governance, vulnerability, and patch management policies
- Map enterprise security policies to device-level configurations, including translating policy requirements into specific lines of code
- Perform configuration compliance analysis primarily on Cisco and Arista devices, with exposure to additional platforms including:
- Juniper
- F5
- Check Point
- Fortinet
- Avi Networks
- Broadcom
- HPE / Aruba
- Analyze and interpret device configuration languages and standards (including HPNA scans where applicable)
- Execute and interpret network engineering commands on devices to validate compliance
- Document gaps, risks, and remediation recommendations aligned with governance requirements
- Support audit and risk management efforts by providing clear configuration and compliance evidence
- Collaborate with network engineering, security, and governance teams to align policy intent with technical implementation
