Overview
Spire Bar was added to the hotel in 2021 during the renovation and stands as the headquarters of the Biltmore’s lively social scene. The beautiful outdoor bar and lounge has 250-seats serving a delicious array of refreshing cocktails, wines, and culinary creations.
Wright Bar is the Biltmore’s famous (and infamous) lobby bar embodying the renegade spirit of Hollywood’s Golden Age featuring craft cocktails and a light bar menu to include our signature Tequila Sunrise - the legendary cocktail that was invented here in the 1930’s!
As a Food Runner, you would be responsible for working along side the expeditor and servers to ensure quick and efficient delivery of food from the kitchen window. Also is responsible for stocking the line with utensils, supplies and china before, during and after service. During down time is responsible for assisting the staff in any way possible, bussing tables, re-setting, side-work duties and greeting guests at the door. Specifically, this includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:
- Greet guests in a warm and professional manner
- Begin every shift setting up the line to help the team be successful throughout the day. Premaking sauces, presets for different appetizers (i.e. Salsa, guacamole, pita bread), stocking all to go boxes, ramekins and silverware and filling all condiment containers
- Maintain a clean expo line at all times, constantly sanitizing the line and food window
- Ensure all food items are ran in a timely manner
- Ensure all food items have all condiments and additions needed before running food out
- Run all food on trays to guests, asking if there is anything else you can grab for them before leaving the table. Ensure any additional requests from the guest are taken care of immediately
- Respectfully work with Expeditors, Line Cooks and Chefs to ensure correct orders are going out to guests. Communicating with the line of any incorrect items or missing items
- Maintain a clean floor on the expo line by spot sweeping consistently to avoid pests
- When closing, ensure all condiments and put away properly and labeled correctly
- Assist the servers in any way possible to assure quality service
- Demonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our guests and associates, damage to our property or the property of others. Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency, and demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency
As a Busperson, you would be responsible for ensuring that the dining areas are clean, and tables are cleared and set in a timely fashion. As well as providing each guest with water upon arrival to their table and continuing to refill their glass. Specifically, this includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:
- Greet guests in a warm and professional manner.
- Set up server stations with glassware, tea and water pitchers, bus tub carts and snack carts and linen baskets. Keep items stocked throughout your shift.
- Keep dining area set up completely with chairs, couches, tables and pillows all in their correct positions.
Spot sweep under tables and surrounding areas between guests to keep area clean and avoid pests. - Ensure server stations remain clean and organized at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Assist servers with guest requests. Offer water and refill as needed.
- Clear each course after everyone at the table has finished eating, unless the guest asks you not to. Remove items from the table that the customer does not need.
- Clean tables by sanitizing all surfaces after guests leave.
- Assist guests with lighting firepits/heaters during winter months.
- Assist the servers in any way possible to assure quality service.
- When scheduled to work an REO event, assist with bringing out and setting up buffet tables, stanchions, event signage and décor.

This is a full-time position, and you must have availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Bars are open from 11am- 12am 7 nights a week.
Qualifications- Previous food service, food-running and or table bussing experience
