Responsibilities :

I develop and maintain software solutions that drive advanced manufacturing workflows.

I design and optimize data pipelines, APIs, and database integrations utilizing PostgreSQL.

I build user-friendly interfaces and interactive dashboards using JavaScript and jQuery.

I implement backend services and control logic in Python for real-time hardware interaction.

I work within Linux-based environments to deploy, monitor, and resolve application issues.

I collaborate with engineers, business stakeholders, and end users to comprehend requirements and deliver practical solutions.

I ensure that software is scalable, reliable, and secure in production settings.

I contribute to code reviews, establish best practices, and support continuous integration / deployment workflows.

This is a 100% on-site position in our office located in San Diego, CA. We are Fabric8Labs, at the forefront of additive manufacturing, utilizing our proprietary electrochemical 3D printing technology. We aim to revolutionize the design and manufacturing of advanced components for various industries, including semiconductors, aerospace, and medical devices. We are looking for a Software Engineer who is excited about the intersection of hardware and software. In this role, I will have the chance to build impactful software tools and closely collaborate with hardware engineers, materials scientists, and business teams.

Preferred or nice-to-have qualifications include experience with Flutter for cross-platform app development, background in hardware / software integration or real-time systems, knowledge of REST APIs, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure, as well as familiarity with CI / CD pipelines, Docker, or Kubernetes.
