Shift / Hours : Monday - Friday, 7 : 30 am-4 : 30 pm

Pay Rate : $80,000 to $90,000 annually

Location : San Jose, CA

Experience : At least 3 years of managerial experience in the aerospace and defense industry

Production Supervisor Job Duties include :

Oversee daily manufacturing operations and resolve issues as they arise.

Supervise the activities of production personnel, including responsibility for training, scheduling, and work assignments for approximately 40 employees.

Engage in performance management for 40+ direct reports.

Ensure compliance with AS9100 / QS and standardized work environment policies.

Monitor work areas to ensure that productivity, quality, safety, and process standards are being followed.

Manage production schedules, ensuring they are met and resolving any potential scheduling issues.

Assure compliance with customer-supplied drawings for masking, Staking, Potting, and application of conformal coatings to electronic assemblies.

Read and interpret customer-supplied drawings.

Track and report on production, shipping schedules, work-in-processes, labor, and product movement.

Communicate with the operations manager, quality supervisor, and customer service to ensure the timely shipping of compliant products.

Other duties as assigned.

Production Supervisor Required Skills include :

Strong leadership skills.

Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Strong documentation, planning and organizational skills.

Computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Visio, and Outlook.

Working knowledge of AS9100, IPC-610, IPC-830, and NADCAP standards.

Knowledge of electronic assemblies and the ability to identify electrical components.

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Production Supervisor Requirements may include :

5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing.

3 years of experience in conformal coating and potting.

High School Diploma / GED is required, with a college graduate preferred.

Must be eligible to work in the US under ITAR

Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed.

Physical Demands & Salary

Physical Demands : The employee is regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Work may include bending over or crouching. The employee may occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.

Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Must provide 3 professional references.
