Behavioral Health Technician

• Receives clients for admission who have been previously approved.
• Make bed checks to make sure all clients are accounted for and to check that the property is secured on an hourly, or as designated basis.
• Enforce house rules.
• Monitor clients and document observations, changes, and needs.
• Provide reports of client's progress or concerns.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for clients
• Alert medical staff on emergency medical cases
• Familiar with emergency procedures and conducts periodic fire drills.
• Notes any irregularities that may need attention and report to appropriate counselors or direct the behavior of clients that need attention.
• Responsible to make rounds of the grounds, as directed, monitoring security of the facilities and properties.
• Must keep current CPR and First Aid certification

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Behavioral Health Tech certification a plus.
