About the Role

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Director of Nephrology to shape the future of our Division by promoting patient-centered care, innovative research initiatives, and dynamic medical education. The ideal candidate will be a leader with national recognition in nephrology, dedicated to enhancing the academic mission and expanding our research capabilities. This role involves the creation and execution of cutting-edge care models aimed at improving patient care quality and efficiency. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in developing our Division into a premier educational hub for medical professionals.

As the Director, you will lead a substantial faculty team, cultivate a collaborative environment, and steer the Division towards continuous growth and excellence. We seek a candidate who embodies collaboration, inspiration, and dynamic leadership, with proven achievements in academic medical settings. Your experience in advancing scholarly activities, clinical care models, and medical education will be vital. A strong clinical background, proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams, and either an M.D. or an M.D./Ph.D. from an accredited institution are required. You must also be board certified in nephrology and meet the academic credentials necessary for a faculty appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or higher. Eligibility for licensure in New York State is a must.
