Sr. ETL Developer (ONSITE, IN)

The purpose of the Senior Extract Transform Load (ETL) Developer position is to design, develop, unit test, document, and perform ongoing support for the ETL and SQL code. Additionally, the Senior ETL Developer needs to understand ETL to and from common databases and file formats. This person is expected to be a subject matter expert that other team members can use as a reference for business knowledge, ETL, SQL, data discovery / design, and programming. The Senior ETL Developer is expected to mentor and train ETL Developers on processes and tools. The Senior ETL Developer may also have supervisory responsibilities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Data Integration Development/Administration (75%)

• Develop workflows and mappings to integrate data from and into various systems and data stores
• Unit test workflows and mappings
• Troubleshooting and correcting existing ETL solutions
• Create and unit test SQL as scripts or to be used within workflows / mappings
• Understanding the data warehouse and data mart models as well as being familiar with the business information contained in each
• Migrate or assist with migrating code by creating migration worksheets
• Validate production code once it’s been migrated to the production environment
• Perform code reviews
• Support daily job process and nightly batch cycles to ensure data is loaded within SLA for business systems and reporting
• Attend meetings in support of development / project efforts
• Assist with software product version updates and patches
• Assist with creating and maintain best practices
• Assist in creating automations that will help the team be more efficient and move faster

Discovery, Design and Documentation (15%)

• Perform discovery sessions with IT and business SMEs to gather appropriate project / production support requirements
• Design or assist in designing end to end high / medium level data flows
• Create business requirements documents from information gathered through discovery sessions
• Create technical design documents from information gathered through discovery sessions
• Log and document task progress for project and production support issues in JIRA

Enhance Skillsets (10%)

• Enhance skills and knowledge around these data management / SQL tools / platformsInformatica IICSInformatica PowercenterInformatica IDQInformatica DTInformatica DXInformatica DPMMS SQL ServerSnowflake

Knowledge of data integration design patterns and database best practices (Kimball, Inmon, Dims, Facts, etc ...)

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA):

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required
• Preferred:Informatica certifications (see above), BigData, Agile Software Development, SnowflakeExperience leading/influencing teams
• 5 – 7 years related work experience
