[job_card.job_description]Be currently enrolled in a Bachelors Degree program in Sophomore year or later or graduate / Ph.D. program at an accredited institution. A degree in a related area of work with courses in Electrical Engineering Acoustics Physics Mechanical Engineering Audio Production Music or related fields. Product application knowledge for technology products in audio. Strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to leadership. Work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Some experience in a recording environment. Some experience in content creation Fluency in circuit theory and programming (MATHLAB Python) Experience with immersive audio. Strong skills in communication problem-solving and teamwork. Provide own housing and transportation to / from work in the Northridge CA office Possess unrestricted work authorization Provide part-time work availability during summer of 2026 and be able to work 20 hours per week. Be open to working in the Northridge CA office (hybrid option available; flexibility to come into the office on short notice when needed is appreciated). Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment. About the Role
We are looking for a part-time Electrical Engineer Engineering Intern with a background in Electrical Engineering acoustics or mechanical engineering to join our team in Northridge. As a member of our team your primary roles will be to assist with hands-on assembly test and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and prototype loudspeaker assemblies.
What You Will Do
- Constructs testsand troubleshoots prototype and production loudspeakers and subassemblies using schematics parts lists or verbal instructions and established testing guidelines and reports progress back to the appropriate Mechanical or Acoustic Systems Engineer.
- Assist in creating new circuits and electrical assemblies.
- Supports Systems Engineers and Engineering Leadership in the development of new products and sustaining engineering.
- Prepares for lab tours and presentations.
- Other projects that may be assigned.
