Knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, undercarriage, track systems and components, pneumatic, electrical and fuel systems. Previous experience working on equipment is a plus, but not required. Excellent diagnostic and trouble-shooting skills. Computer, written and verbal communication skills. Competitive Pay based on Prior Experience and Demonstrable Knowledge. A Diesel Service Technician must be able to :
- Diagnose and repair equipment including compactors, excavators, loaders and other heavy construction equipment
- Respond promptly to customer needs in a positive, supportive and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed
- Communicate job progress to supervisor and customer as needed
- Complete service reports, order parts and maintain clear customer records
