Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Staff Tax Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $80, to $90, per year.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and review tax returns to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Organize and maintain tax documentation to support accurate filings and audit readiness.
Assist with financial reporting tasks by providing tax-related data and analysis.
Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to gather information and resolve tax issues.
Meet required deadlines by managing multiple tax projects in an organized and timely manner.
Requirements:
Demonstrate strong understanding of tax compliance processes and tax preparation procedures.
Apply familiarity with financial reporting and general accounting principles to support tax work.
Utilize strong analytical and problem?solving skills to evaluate tax data and identify discrepancies.
Manage detailed information effectively under time constraints and competing priorities.
Use tax and accounting software tools confidently to complete filings and reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Possess prior experience preparing tax work for businesses, individuals, or real estate entities.
Show strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and internal teams.
Demonstrate intent to pursue CPA certification or hold a CPA license as a preferred qualification.
