Gilchrist County Solid Waste & Recycling is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Requirements

• Ability to perform heavy lifting and work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Good customer service skills
• Heavy lifting
• (Preferred) Florida Class B CDL license (copy must be submitted with application)

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment to support County operations

Transport waste and serve as an attendant at recycling sites

Perform additional duties as needed to meet department requirements

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly rate : $16$17 based on experience

Full-time position with retirement benefits
