About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12 Hours (6 : 45 PM - 7 : 15 AM)

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in a medical-surgical and post-operative environment required.

License : Active nursing license required.

Certifications : ACLS, BLS required.

Must-Have :

• Post-operative experience required.
• Acute care experience required.
• Experience with post-operative GI and wound care required.
• Experience working full time on a post-operative unit required.
• Minimum of one travel contract completed to be considered.

Description :

This position requires an individual with a background in medical-surgical nursing.

The candidate must have experience caring for patients with conditions such as pancreatitis, GI bleeds, bowel obstructions, and post-operative infections.

Special procedures required include pancreatectomy, esophagectomy, and mastectomy, among others.

The candidate will work with various pieces of equipment including PEG tubes, PCA, wound vacs, and surgical drains.

The daily patient census may vary, and the candidate should be comfortable in an inpatient setting.

Interdisciplinary support services are available to assist with patient care.

Weekend coverage may be required.

Candidates must be prepared for emergency situations, particularly during the hurricane season.

Flexibility regarding scheduling and duties is expected.
