LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Logistics Specialist

You will provide ILS services in support of NSAA's Engineering Department Assessment process, including the comprehensive review and validation of all configuration records associated with the shipboard equipment being assessed.

You will monitor the delivery of ILS products to ensure that all new equipment and / or systems technical documentation, configuration documentation and Onboard Repair Parts are turned over to the ship.

You will conduct physical equipment validations to ensure accurate and complete information is submitted to the Ship's Configuration and Logistics Support Information System (SCLSIS) and Weapon Systems File, (WSF), Ship Equipment File (EQF).

You will provide training and guidance to the Maintenance Support Analysis Team (MSAT) for conducting ILO / PMR on available logistics tools to attain the best possible post availability logistics sustainment posture for new / existing equipment systems.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current forklift license.
• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and / or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and / or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications :

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. I have at least one year of specialized experience performing Logistics Management Specialist work equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal Service or equivalent pay band or equivalent experience in the private sector. Specialized experience includes performing work which requires applying a basic knowledge of logistics principles, concepts and methods that encompasses a limited range of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) applicable to ship modernization, conversion, overhaul, refueling and repair.

Education :

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience : master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
