About the Position

LocumJobsNetwork is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Internal Medicine MD in Washington, Washington DC, 20373!

We are seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Doctor for a 24-day locum tenens assignment in DC, starting Feb 2, 2026. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling—choose any 2-3 days per week, Monday through Friday, with shifts from 9 : 00am to 5 : 00pm. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience and be comfortable working independently.

  • Provider Type Needed : Internal Medicine Physician
  • Schedule : 2-3 days per week, Monday through Friday, 9 : 00am - 5 : 00pm (provider selects preferred days)

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide direct patient care in internal medicine
  • Work independently to assess, diagnose, and manage patients
  • Coordinate patient care with other healthcare professionals as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records
  • Adhere to established clinical guidelines and protocols

    • Additional Information

  • Requires 3-5 years of experience in internal medicine
  • Must hold active licenses in MD and VA
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine required
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a flexible schedule
