OVERVIEW
This position is responsible for controls engineering project requirements involving PLC programming,
As a Controls Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for Hardware, Software, and Field. The ideal Candidate will be tasked with PLC, HMI / SCADA programming, control panel design, instrumentation specification, check-out support, and commissioning assistance. You will work closely with the clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated control solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
ROLE / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop control system software, including DCS / PLC programming and implementation, HMI design, and SCADA configuration.
- Design, develop, and implement control system logic software and hardware to meet process, machine, and integrated system requirements.
- Develop control logic software and user interface applications.
- Support hardware engineering (systems integration, instrumentation callout, panel layout, construction)
- Develop schematics detailing control system configuration and wiring, and design equipment panel layouts on AutoCAD software.
- Technical writing - project definition and requirements, status reporting, process control sequence of operations, RFIs
- Support factory / site acceptance testing, user acceptance testing, and user training
