Work Schedule:
Days/Evenings: 6 to 8 weeks. During weekday/evening shifts, 1.0 FTEE emergency physician will cover 40 hours, typically 4 x 10 hours shifts but may include some combination of clinical/administrative period per week, 6-hour evening swing shift, or 10-hour Fast Track shift.
Nights: 2 weeks of nights. When on overnights, 1.0 FTEE emergency physician typically 3 x 12 hours shifts with 1 x 4-hour administrative period per week.
Weekends: 2 weekends (1 scheduled weekend for every 4th weekend) Weekend is defined as Saturday through Monday morning.
Holiday coverage is tracked and rotated among all ED staff including contractors.
