Job Summary
The job of Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant is done for the purpose / s of providing support to the educational process with specific responsibilities for assisting speech / language pathology staff in providing speech / language therapy services for students with communication disorders (i.e. delays in pragmatic semantics, syntax, fluency, articulation / phonology) ; executing specific components of the speech language program as prescribed by a credentialed Speech Language Pathologist; and assisting the direct and indirect intervention for students in clinical-educational services for students with speech-language disorders as guided by the speech and language pathologist. This job reports to Director of Special Education.

Qualifications
Bachelors degree in job-related area.
A bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree in Speech-Language Pathology OR higher degree from a Board approved SLPA program preferred 70 hours+ of fieldwork experience OR some prior full-time experience performing the duties of an SLPA in a public setting OR some prior full-time work as an SLPA in another state with the appropriate authorization to practice preferred Bilingual / biliterate preferred.
