About Revitalize CDC : Since Revitalize CDCs (RevitalizeCDC.com) inception in 1992, the organization has completed almost 1,100 homes with the help of 10,000 volunteers investing $54 Million into Western Massachusetts. In the past year, Revitalize CDC served over 2,300 low-income families with children, elderly citizens, military veterans and people with special needs. Revitalize CDC focuses on making meaningful improvements on homes to help reduce energy use, save money, and create a safe, healthy and sustainable living environment for residents. We offer a rewarding environment for individuals interested in public health, housing, environmental justice, policy and project / program management.

    Our Mission :

Revitalizing homes, neighborhoods and lives through preservation, education and community involvement.

We believe in a safe, healthy and energy-efficient home for everyone and perform critical repairs, modifications and rehabilitation on the homes and non-profit facilities of low-income families with children, military veterans, the elderly and people with disabilities.

    Position Description :

Revitalize CDC is seeking a qualified candidate to support the development and implementation of community programs in focus neighborhoods. The Program Support will support two complementary initiatives aimed at improving environmental and public health outcomes in environmental justice neighborhoods of Chicopee and Holyoke. Through the DCR Greening the Gateway Cities Program (GGCP), the position assists with expanding the urban tree canopy to reduce energy use, mitigate heat islands, and enhance neighborhood livability. Simultaneously, under the Mass Save Community Education Grant, the role promotes energy efficiency awareness, connects residents to weatherization and energy retrofit programs, and helps track outreach impacts. Furthermore, support for the annual #GreenNFit Neighborhood Rebuild consists of supporting the Neighborhood Sustainability team in outreach to the community, collecting eligibility documentation and coordinating the annual volunteer event.

This hands-on role bridges fieldwork, outreach, and education, helping residents understand how trees and energy efficiency work together to create healthier, more sustainable homes and communities. This role is expected to continue over time, with responsibilities evolving as individual grants conclude and new programs begin.
