Express Employment Professionals of Bradenton, FL is currently hiring a Maintenance Worker (Streets & Drainage) located in the Bradenton Area.

The Maintenance Worker - Streets & Drainage is responsible for performing a variety of manual and semi-skilled tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and construction of streets, sidewalks, storm drains, culverts, and related public infrastructure. This position ensures the safe and efficient flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic and the proper drainage of stormwater systems.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform routine maintenance and repair of streets, alleys, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and drainage systems.
• Operate light to heavy equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes, loaders, rollers, and street sweepers.
• Install and repair storm drain pipes, catch basins, manholes, and culverts.
• Clear debris, sediment, and obstructions from drainage ditches and stormwater infrastructure.
• Spread asphalt, gravel, and other materials to fill potholes and repair street surfaces.
• Set up and remove traffic control devices such as barricades, cones, and signage for safe work zones.
• Respond to emergency calls for flooding, storm damage, or roadway hazards during and after business hours.
• Assist with snow and ice control as needed, including plowing and salting roads.
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on tools and equipment.
• Follow all applicable safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment operated.
