Duties:
]1. Layout, build and test electrical panels; create wiring diagrams and electrical schematics; interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics when troubleshooting with a customer.
2. Programs PLC’s for packaging machinery and Robotics; work with programs for Idec and Allen Bradley; insure that safety measures are included in programming of machine functions; integrate touch screen displays are requested by customer; provide documentation of all programming. Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and provide user with application support and recommendations; interpret programs written by others to assist customer with resolution of malfunction and increase productivity.
3. Travel to customer sites (including overnight travel) for installation and service to ensure that the new equipment is meeting the customer’s needs and requirements. Train customers in the safe use & maintenance of equipment. Ensure that there is a minimum of down time for the customer.
4. Provide list of parts to be ordered for specific projects and to maintain electrical inventory.
5. Assisting with Assembly and Electrical work on the floor to build new packaging equipment.
Experience:
A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required; prefers 2 years of college; 4-5 years experience in layout, building, testing and troubleshooting electrical panels and their components. Working knowledge of PLC’s is essential (Idec and Allen Bradley – preferred).
Compensation: $25.00 - $36.00 per hour
