Position Summary

This position is for a mechanically inclined individual who possesses a positive attitude and desire to continuously improve. This person will be a key player in ensuring first time quality and delivery change over components to the headers. The Tool/Pack Room will work toward ensuring on-time delivery and first time quality of changeover components to the headers during changeovers.

Position Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

• Ensure that tool packs are assembled and built correctly
• Review and update header set up sheets
• Provide assistance to machine operators on new job development
• Ability to operate all Tool/Pack room equipment with limited supervision to meet necessary quality and productivity requirements
• Inventory management of tooling
• Ability to read most manufacturing and tooling prints and select and prepare necessary tools to meet print tolerances
• Utilize most Tool/Pack room inspection equipment
• Train team members on all work standards
• Assist other operators as needed
• Maintains cleanliness of work area
• Follows company safety guidelines
• Performs preventative maintenance when required
• Perform the duties required to record data for SPC, ISO/IATF 16949 documentation.
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications-Education/Experience

Required:

• Basic Excel and Access skills
• Solid math skills
• Mechanically inclined, shop classes or manufacturing process training is required
• Basic problem solving skills ability to identify routine problem causation and correct routine problems
• Possess the ability to train others
• Willingness to learn new areas of the business
