Excel Prepis a specialized school dedicated to supporting children with Autism and Learning Disabilities. Job Description

We are looking for compassionate and dedicatedPart-Time Kitchen Staffto join our team at Excel Prep. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in creating a supportive dining experience for our students, ensuring that their nutritional needs are met in a safe and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation :

Assist in preparing healthy meals and snacks tailored to students' dietary requirements.

  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Kitchen Maintenance :

    • Keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and organized.

  • Help with inventory management of food supplies and kitchen equipment.
  • Collaboration :

    • Work closely with teaching staff to accommodate various dietary needs and preferences.

  • Engage with students during meal times to promote social interaction and inclusivity.

    • Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food service or kitchen environment is preferred.
  • Food Handling Licenseor equivalent certification is required.
  • Basic knowledge of dietary needs, particularly for children with autism and learning disabilities.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Passion for working with children and contributing to their well-being.

    • Work Schedule

  • Part-time hours, approximately 15-20 hours per week.
  • Flexible schedule to align with school hours and events.
