User Experience Director - US Remote

Director, Product Design

The Anywhere Product Design team is seeking a talented and experienced Product Design Director to join our team and help revolutionize the way people interact with real estate technology. As a Director of Product Design, you will lead a talented team responsible for enhancing the user experience of our tools for real estate agents. Your mission will be to create intuitive, efficient, and visually appealing interfaces that empower real estate professionals to excel in their roles. Reporting to the Head of Product Design, in this hands-on role you'll collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to drive innovation and elevate our digital platforms.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership : Define the overall UX vision and strategy for agent tools. Align design initiatives with business goals and user needs. Advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the organization.

Team Management : Lead and mentor a team of UX designers, researchers, and front-end developers. Foster a collaborative and creative work environment. Set clear goals, provide feedback, and ensure professional growth.

Design Excellence : Oversee the end-to-end design process, from concept to implementation. Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs. Conduct usability testing and iterate based on user feedback. Emphasize consistency and coherence across multiple design / product pods.

Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate with product and to deliver cohesive experiences. Work closely with real estate agents and brokers to understand their pain points and needs. Ensure consistency and alignment across different tools and platforms.

User Research and Insights : Work with user research to conduct studies, including interviews, surveys, and usability studies. Translate insights into actionable design improvements. Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies.

Design Operations (DesignOps) : Work with Program Management to optimize design workflows, tools, and processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline design delivery. Advocate for and contribute to design systems, component libraries, and version control.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or equivalent experience. Proven track record (10+ years) of designing intuitive and delightful user experiences for web and mobile applications. Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Framer, etc.). Expert understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies. Experience working with user research and usability testing. Knowledge of current UX trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. Strong understanding of accessibility. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and defend design decisions and strategies.
