A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview) In this role, you will be responsible for handling all commercial and financial topics throughout the whole sales/ bid process and be responsible for the preparation and negotiation of the commercial and financial terms and conditions alongside the different business, such as Substation Projects (Greenfield, Replacement, Refurbishment, Extension), LTSA and O&M Contracts and Small orders. You will also led process improvements in the Sales/Bid phase.
How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities) - Analyze customer requirements, evaluation methods and criteria in order to develop the winning strategy together with the Sales Manager, including understanding business conditions and competition pricing.
- Define business models based on business, customer, and tax regulations.
- Handle all commercial aspects of the bid, including contract analysis, cost calculation, financing concepts, currency and hedging, risks and opportunities, bonds, terms of payment, credit rating, insurances, export control, and compliance.
- Manage relationships with external project collaborators, such as customers and consortium partners, and participate in negotiations of terms and conditions in line with applicable guidelines.
- Prepare and present the Limits of Authority (LoA) according to the required protocol, acting as a sparring partner for regions and bid team members, and ensuring correctness of relevant approvals in accordance with actual negotiations.
- Apply a hands-on approach to manage the full scope of financial and commercial activities during the sales phase, while providing lessons learned to financially and contractually comparable projects.
What You Bring (requirements) - Bachelor's degree in business administration/ management, Finance, Accounting or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in similar capacity.
- Analytical thinking, result and quality-oriented approach, solid professional judgment and problem-solving ability is required competencies
- Ability to conceptualize & socialize ideas, make recommendations and gather team consensus to move forward
- Thorough understanding of GAAP and IFRS, SAP knowledge, Microsoft Office, as well as strong analytical skills
- Knowledge in business analytics tools (Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau or similar) as well as experience and curiosity about leveraging Artificial Intelligence to address business needs is considered a plus
