Programmer Analyst

Location: Lansing, Michigan

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Onsite requirement: Mondays and Tuesdays from Day 1).

Residency Requirement: Local candidates only (must reside within a 60-mile radius of Lansing).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Development: Drive application development efforts for large-scale systems using C# .NET and Angular.
• SQL Mastery: Design, modify, and debug complex SQL Server objects including stored procedures, triggers, functions, and linked servers.
• Technical Architecture: Author technical standards, choose appropriate technology stacks, and create robust technical solutions.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure all IT solutions adhere to strict agency security policies, specifically preventing vulnerabilities like XSS and SQL injection.
• Reporting: Develop and maintain sophisticated SSRS reports to support business intelligence needs.
• Collaboration: Participate in a hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment, utilizing Azure DevOps (ADO) for sprint planning and backlog management.

Required Technical Skills

• C# .NET & Java: 10+ years of experience in developing complex systems.
• Full-Stack Expertise: 8+ years with JavaScript and SSRS; 5+ years of hands-on experience with Angular.
• Database Development: 10+ years of advanced experience in SQL/PL-SQL and managing database configuration items.
• Version Control: Extensive experience with GIT and source code management.
• Modern Tools: Proficiency in using GitHub Copilot to accelerate coding tasks and improve code quality.

Preferred Experience

• Knowledge of Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) reimbursement processes (Medicaid/Medicare).
• Experience with React.js and modern ES6+ JavaScript.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
