Health Educator

Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is seeking a full-time Health Educator to work in support of Sandia National Laboratories located at 1515 Eubank Blvd SE, Albuquerque, NM 87123. Services will be delivered to all requesting departments throughout the facility on a range of shift schedules. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers. Responsibilities

• Help identify personal stressors and explore healthy approaches to manage these stressors effectively
• Assist employees in determining any behavioral, physical and lifestyle factors affecting sleep and energy, and shall develop a plan for improving this part of their life
• Assist with developing and executing health education seminars and courses to include; fitness, nutrition, stress management, self-care and other topics to meet the changing needs of the organization
• Shall assist with the development of health education seminars, teaching calm, thrive, nutrition, social fitness and sleep/energy classes
• Assist in administering tailored organizational programs including educational content and resources
• Conduct individual assessments and consultations to include personal health coaching and stress management
• Adhere to and execute the department's operating procedures and charting
• Other duties may include but are not limited to leading group exercise classes as needed
• Assist in Preventive Health Program Team demands such as special event support and promotion, group exercise classes, education classes, and other program needs

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in Exercise Science, Nutrition Science, or other Allied Health-related field
• Certified through ACSM, NSCA, ACE, AFAA and/or NASM
• More than 5 years of experience in a corporate wellness program, fitness or nutrition center setting
• English language proficiency
• This position requires U.S. Citizenship for DOE contract security clearance.

All candidates must be able to:

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
