Description

Environmental Compliance Consultants inc. (ECC) offers an exciting opportunity to pursue or continue a career in the environmental and industrial services industry as an Accounts Payable Coordinator. The Accounts Payable Coordinator is a critical role within the Finance/Accounting department, responsible for the full cycle of accounts payable processes. This includes managing and processing invoices, ensuring timely payments to vendors, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities May Included:

  • Review and verify invoices and check requests.
  • Sort, code and match invoices.
  • Set invoices up for payment.
  • Track expenses and process expense reports.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
  • Prepare and perform check runs.
  • Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records.
  • Work closely with accounting to reconcile accounts payable transactions.
  • Maintain vendor files.
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide supporting documentation for audits.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in the accounts payable process.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven working experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk, Accounts Payable Specialist, or similar role.
  • Previous experience with accounting software such as Unanet and QuickBooks.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and use of standard office equipment.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Previous experience with accounting software such as Unanet and QuickBook
  • Proven working experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk, Accounts Payable Specialist, or similar role.

License/Certification:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
