Job Description:

This organization is a steel service center, located in Gary, Indiana with easy access on and off highways. A Packaging Operator must be a dependable self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision. Must be a safety-conscious worker.

Responsibilities:

• Promote Safety as the Number 1 priority of all employees.
• Operate a variety of packaging machines.
• Perform packaging operations with 100% accuracy.
• Maintain work area safe and clean.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends, when necessary.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

PHYSICAL, ENVIRONMENTAL, COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS

• Medium work that includes moving/lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to continuously stand for all or most of a regular work shift, reach above shoulders, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
