Job Title : Hardware Test Engineer Job Description

The Test Engineer will support the development, qualification, and acceptance of advanced avionics systems for spacecraft applications. The Hardware Test Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, and documenting test campaigns to ensure flight readiness, focusing on environmental testing, functional testing of mission-critical hardware, and EMI / EMC testing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and document test campaigns for advanced avionics systems.
• Conduct environmental testing to ensure flight readiness of hardware.
• Perform functional testing of mission-critical hardware.
• Execute EMI / EMC testing for hardware components.
• Develop and write detailed test plans and reports.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure compliance with industry standards such as NASA, ESA, MIL-STD, and DO-160.

Work Environment

This role offers significant ownership responsibilities and the ability to set precedents for future testing processes within the company. The company has a team of 40 employees, primarily engineers, and this will be the first Hardware Test Engineer on staff.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $73.00 / hr.
