American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with at least 3 years of experience, NBSTSA certification, and BLS (AHA) for a specialized surgical services position.

Job Details

  • Work in a surgical services department performing gender affirming surgeries, micro surgeries, plastics, ENT, neurosurgery, orthopedic, and urology procedures,
  • Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 8 : 45 AM to 5 : 15 PM, with no weekends or call required,
  • Patient population includes individuals needing reconstructive, hand, neuro, joint, ENT, and urology surgeries,
  • Travelers may float to other locations if home unit census is low,
  • Epic EMR experience preferred,

Job Requirements

  • Active CA CST license required if applicable,
  • NBSTSA certification required,
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association required,
  • Minimum of 3 years recent surgical technology experience,
  • Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing contract,
  • Completion of orientation modules via e-learning required,
  • All certifications must be current and in hand at the time of consideration,
  • 50 mile travel radius requirement,

    • Additional Information

  • Perform advanced surgical tech duties for a range of specialized procedures, including micro and reconstructive surgeries,
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team,
  • Return staff must be gone at least 1 year in order to return as a traveler,
  • Only one holiday will be approved for time off during assignment,
  • Orientation modules are completed as part of onboarding,
  • Locals may be accepted at a different rate,
