Sheriff's Office Senior Account Clerk

Salary : $64,679.85 - $78,621.81 Annually

Bring your accounting talents to the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office and join our team as a Sheriff's Office Senior Account Clerk!

As a Sheriff's Office Senior Account Clerk, you will be responsible for :

  • ? Performing monthly bank reconciliations and reconciling internal financial records with County systems
  • ? Posting payments and preparing deposits
  • ? Preparing invoices and processing journal vouchers
  • ? Following up on past-due accounts
  • ? Issuing refunds
  • ? Coordinating travel arrangements for staff, including booking and logistics
  • ? Processing travel reimbursements in compliance with County policies and procedures
  • ? Reconciling monthly CalCard statements, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
  • ? Serving as back-up support to the other Senior Account Clerk in the unit

The ideal candidate is a team player who is approachable, courteous, and dependable, and will also possess many of the following :

  • ? Proficiency in Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise Financial software and fund accounting
  • ? An interest in working in public service and the accounting field
  • ? An ability to address competing priorities and provide exemplary customer service, while consistently shifting focus throughout the day
  • ? Strong organizational and time management skills
  • ? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees, managers, and other agency personnel
  • ? The ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • ? Intellectual curiosity and an attitude that prioritizes problem solving
  • ? The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • ? Experience with Microsoft Office applications
