As a Security Officer - Tech / Media Patrols PT in San Jose, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. Learn more : aus.com / earnmore. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will engage with visitors and staff, supporting a secure environment through teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach that reflects our innovative and reliable values.

Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any irregularities or incidents discovered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and contractors with security-related inquiries or concerns as needed.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and reporting any suspicious activity.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
