Retail Media Network Architect

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

1. Architectural Design:
   1. Design and develop the overall architecture for the RMN platform, including data infrastructure, API integrations, and cloud-based systems.
   2. Define the technology roadmap for the RMN, aligning with business goals and industry trends.
   3. Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and platforms to support the RMN.
   4. Create architectural diagrams and documentation.
2. Data Strategy:
   1. Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy for the RMN, including data collection, storage, processing, and analysis.
   2. Design data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
   3. Define data governance and security policies.
   4. Design the data lake and data warehouse architecture that will support the reporting and analytical needs of the RMN.
3. API and Integration:
   1. Design and implement APIs for data exchange with internal and external systems.
   2. Define API standards and best practices.
   3. Ensure seamless integration with third-party advertising platforms and data providers.
4. Cloud Infrastructure:
   1. Design and implement cloud-based infrastructure for the RMN, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
   2. Optimize cloud resource utilization and costs.
   3. Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices.
5. Security and Compliance:
   1. Design and implement security measures to protect the RMN platform and data.
   2. Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
   3. Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments.
6. Technical Leadership:
   1. Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
   2. Mentor and train junior architects and developers.
   3. Stay abreast of the latest technologies and trends in retail media and advertising.
   4. Work with vendors to evaluate software and hardware solutions.
7. Performance Optimization:
   1. Design and implement systems that allow for high performance of the retail media network.
   2. Design and implement monitoring systems to ensure that the retail media network is running optimally.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Extensive experience in software architecture and system design.
3. Deep understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
4. Strong knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling.
5. Experience with API design and development.
6. Knowledge of security best practices and compliance regulations.
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
8. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
9. Experience with Retail Media Networks, or digital advertising platforms.
10. Experience in designing high volume, low latency systems.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience with specific retail media platforms.
2. Knowledge of programmatic advertising and ad tech.
3. Experience with customer data platforms (CDPs).
4. Experience with Machine learning technologies.
