Assembler / Entry Level Mechanic

Location : Livonia, MI 48150

Duration : 8+ Months contract with possibility of extension and FTE

Shift : Mon - Fri (Sat as needed) 6am - 2 : 30pm (OT as needed)

Job Description

  • This position is located within our Contract Manufacturing Operation at our Livonia MI facility. Contract Manufacturing provides assembly services to many of the leading-edge companies in the automotive industry. Products we produce for our customers consist of Off-Road tactical military vehicles, Self driving / Autonomous vehicles & Electric vehicles just to name a few. These low volume, highly technical projects make for a very exciting work environment where you learn cutting edge technology on a regular basis. Full-time employment opportunities may be available to the right candidates.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of recent hands-on assembly experience in an Automotive Manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must have basic understanding of automotive systems
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Must be able to use manual tools and power equipment safely
  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude and ability to problem solve
  • Must have good organizational skills
  • Must have good attention to detail
  • Must possess the skills to read, comprehend and execute written procedures
  • Must be a self-starter, self-motivated and willing to learn
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Must have excellent attendance and be willing to work overtime / weekends when needed

    • Preferred Skills

  • Previous automotive mechanic or co-op experience preferred
  • Automotive electrical systems experience a plus
