Culinary & Operations Director – RICH TABLE & RT Bistro

Location : San Francisco, CA

Salary : $120,000 annually + performance-based bonus

Housing Available for the Right Candidate

RICH TABLE and RT Bistro are seeking a seasoned Culinary & Operations Director to lead both the creative and operational direction of our kitchens. This role is ideal for a thoughtful, hands-on leader who understands that exceptional food, strong systems, and healthy teams go hand in hand.

You will oversee culinary vision, day-to-day kitchen operations, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure consistency, efficiency, and excellence across both concepts.

Who You Are

You are equally comfortable on the line, in prep, and in spreadsheets. You lead with clarity and empathy, understand how kitchens function at a high level, and know how to translate vision into repeatable systems. You value seasonal sourcing, mentorship, and sustainable operations.

What You’ll Do

Lead culinary and kitchen operations for both RICH TABLE and RT Bistro

Develop and execute menus that reflect each brand’s identity and seasonal availability

Oversee kitchen systems including ordering, inventory, prep standards, scheduling, and labor controls

Manage food cost, labor cost, and BOH operational budgets

Partner with ownership and FOH leadership to align service, staffing, and financial goals

Build, train, and mentor BOH leadership teams, including Executive Chefs and Sous Chefs

Ensure consistency, quality, and execution across all services and locations

Maintain vendor and farmer relationships with a focus on local and sustainable sourcing

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards

Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, and retention initiatives

What We’re Looking For

3–5+ years in a senior culinary leadership role with operational responsibility

Multi-unit experience strongly preferred

Proven track record managing food and labor costs in chef-driven restaurants

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

Ability to balance creativity with structure and accountability

Passion for team development and long-term operational success

Compensation & Benefits

$120,000 annual base salary
